39-year-old Marvin Matos died on Tuesday September 14 in a traffic accident in Clinton CT. The accident happened on Main Street where Matos was driving a refuse container truck for Dainty Rubbish Services. Early news reports about the accident state that Matos had finished delivering a container and was travelling under a bridge on Main Street when the upright boom on the container truck collided with the low bridge. Matos was fatally injured in the crash. Paramedics took him to Shoreline Clinic but he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 3:00 p.m. The accident remains under investigation as officials try to determine whether or not a mechanical malfunction caused the boom arm to be upright.
