William Jones dies after Longview, TX hit and run crash.
On Friday, September 10, 45-year-old William J. Jones
was fatally injured in a hit and run accident in Longview, TX.Jones was walking across East Marshall Avenue
shortly after midnight when the accident happened.According to police reports, as Jones was
crossing the street, he was struck by a passing vehicle and fatally
injured.The driver of the vehicle then
fled the scene, but was quickly located and arrested by police.Police believe that the driver was
intoxicated at the time of the crash, but toxicology results are still
pending.Jones was rushed to a nearby
hospital, but he did not survive his injuries.The incident is still being investigated.
