On Sunday, September 5, one man was killed in a traffic
accident in Austin, TX.The accident
occurred on Texas 71, close to the Austin Bergstrom International Airport at
roughly 2:45 p.m.Early news stories
state that the victim and a woman were in a Chrysler car travelling west.Allegedly, their vehicle collided with
another vehicle which was turning left at the intersection between Texas 71 and
Thornberry Road.Police state that a red
light is at the intersection, but they do not yet know whether someone ran the
light, the light was malfunctioning, or something else caused the
accident.Both people in the Chrysler
were taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge.The man was pronounced dead shortly after
arrival, while the woman is in critical condition.The names of those involved have not yet been
released.The incident is still under
investigation.
