Jerold Campbell dies after being electrocuted at work in Greenville, MS.
Jerold Campbell, a 73-year-old contract engineer from
Mississippi, died after being electrocuted while at work on Thursday, August
19.Early reports about the accident
state that a tower transmitter owned by WDMS failed at approximately 5:00 a.m.,
and Campbell was called to repair it.While Campbell was conducting the repairs, he somehow was electrocuted
and fatally injured.He was rushed to
Delta Regional Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after
arriving.Few details about the accident
are currently known, but police are still investigating, trying to figure out
precisely how it happened.
