Michael Lewis killed in workplace forklift accident in Washington County, AR.
On Friday, August 20, 58-year-old Michael David Lewis
was killed in a forklift accident in Washington County, AR.Lewis was part of a crew doing construction
work at approximately 2:00 p.m. near Ed Edwards Road.According to local news stories, the crew was
working in a wooded area near the road, and Lewis was operating a forklift near
a hill, trying to move cinderblocks, when the forklift allegedly rolled over
him, crushing him underneath.No one
witnessed the accident, so police do not yet know exactly how it happened.Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene when
paramedics arrived.The accident remains
under investigation, as police try to piece together all the details.
