Robert Ellison dies after being shot while at work at construction site in Panama City Beach, FL.
On Tuesday, August 10, a construction site shooting
claimed the life of 43-year-old Robert Shawn Ellison in Panama City Beach,
FL.Ellison was working as the general
contractor at the First Baptist Church construction site when the incident
occurred.Local police reports indicate
that, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Ellison was shot several times in the site’s
construction office.No one witnessed
the incident, and due to the noise at the construction site, no one remembers distinctly
hearing gunshots.Ellison’s body was
found by his co-workers shortly after the incident.He was killed at the scene.The incident remains under investigation, as
police try to locate the shooter.Currently, they believe the shooting may have been linked to previous
work disputes between Ellison and other workers.
