Ron Klinkerman killed in workplace boiler accident in Hutchinson, KS.
On Thursday, August 12, 30-year-old Ron Klinkerman was
killed in a workplace accident in Hutchinson, KS.The accident happened at Superior Boiler Works,
where Klinkerman was employed.Police
report that Klinkerman was working near a boiler in the plant, when the boiler’s
door allegedly fell off and landed on top of Klinkerman.Klinkerman was working alone at the time, so
no witnesses saw the accident, but co-workers found Klinkerman underneath the
door and used a forklift to lift the door off him.However, Klinkerman was fatally injured, and was
pronounced dead at the scene.Police and
company officials are investigating the incident, trying to determine why the
boiler door fell.
