Convenience store manager in Houston, TX dies after being hit by robbery suspect's getaway car.
On Friday, August 13, a robbery at a convenience store
in Houston, TX left the store’s manager dead.The robbery occurred at a convenience store at the intersection between
South Dairy Ashford and Brant Rock.According to early news reports, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the
manager of the convenience store confronted a man he allegedly caught
shoplifting.The suspect ran out of the
store and into a getaway car in the parking lot.The manager of the store followed the man,
but was allegedly hit by the getaway car as it pulled away.Medical rescue workers rushed the manager to
Southwest Memorial Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries shortly after
arrival.His name was not immediately
available.The suspects in the robbery
have been arrested by police, and charges are expected, pending the
investigation.
