Max Anderson dies in one-vehicle big rig crash near Marion, NC.
On Sunday, August 15, a one-vehicle tractor trailer
crash near Marion, NC claimed the life of 30-year-old trucker Max Jerome Anderson
of Salisbury.Anderson was travelling
west on Interstate 40, near mile marker 77, when the crash happened.Local news reports indicate that, at
approximately 3:30 a.m., Anderson lost control of the tractor trailer.The truck veered off the road, collided with
a guard rail, and rolled over.Anderson
was killed at the scene by blunt force trauma.Police are still investigating the accident, trying to determine exactly
how it occurred.They did not locate any
skid marks at the crash site, and they have not yet determined whether or not
the big rig’s brakes were operating properly at the time of the crash.
