Virginia Ray dies after being struck by SUV in Pleasant Grove, TX.
On Saturday, August 21, 23-year-old Virginia Ray was
struck and killed by an SUV in Pleasant Grove, TX.At roughly 3:30 a.m., Ray’s car broke down,
and she was standing in front of the vehicle on Lake June Road with another
person in the driver’s seat, trying to get people to stop for help.According to local news stories, two people
stopped and were about to assist Ray in getting her vehicle off the road.However, the two people noticed an
approaching SUV.They both waved their
arms at the approaching driver, but the driver failed to notice them and
allegedly crashed into Ray and her vehicle.Ray was pronounced dead at the scene, while the person in the driver’s
seat of her vehicle suffered minor injuries.Police are still investigating the accident.No word yet on charges filed against the
driver of the SUV.
