On Tuesday, August 17, 39-year-old truck driver Lorenzo
Munoz of Horizon, TX and 32-year-old passenger Roger Franceware of El Paso, TX
died in a tractor trailer accident near Loraine, TX.Munoz was travelling east on Interstate 20 at
approximately 1:00 a.m. when the crash occurred.Early reports about the accident state that
the semi truck veered off the road, crashed into a median, slid down an
embankment, crashed into a concrete post, and finally caught fire after landing
in a creek bed.Franceware and Munoz
both died at the scene.The accident
remains under investigation, as police have not yet determined what caused the
truck to veer off the road.
