Two people killed in two-car accident in Jacksonville, TX.
On Wednesday, August 18, two people died in a
two-vehicle accident in Jacksonville, TX.The crash happened on U.S. Highway 69, close to Love’s Lookout, at
approximately 6:40 a.m.Local news
reports state that a Chevrolet Blazer driven by 67-year-old Tom Culwell
allegedly veered across the center lane and into northbound traffic.The Blazer then collided head-on with a Ford
Taurus driven by 33-year-old Kerri Jenkins.Jenkins and Culwell both died at the scene, while 33-year-old Kern
Green, a passenger in the Taurus, was injured and taken to a local
hospital.Police currently believe that
Culwell either fell asleep or suffered a heart attack, but the investigation
into the accident is ongoing.
