Port Angeles, WA — A fatal 3-car accident left 5 people injured and 1 dead on Monday morning, May 20, 2013 near Port Angeles. Police identified the deceased as Bryan Crawford, 52, from Port Angeles. The injured were identified as John McMahon, 42, Nicholas Crawford, Kayla Walls, 22, Stewart Wycoff, 28, and Corbin Reneman, 20.
Police said the accident happened on US-101 near Cliff Robinson Lane at about 8:30 a.m. Walls was driving west on US-101 on Monday morning, followed by Wycoff and Crawford. As Walls slowed to make a left turn onto Cliff Robinson, Wycoff failed to slow down in time and crashed into her.
The accident caused Crawford to swerve to avoid the the accident, causing his flatbed pickup truck to overturn and crash. Bryan Crawford was killed immediately in the accident and his passenger, Nicholas, was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. McMahon was listed in serious condition and the condition of the others was not released.
The accident is expected to be investigated further.
