Spencer Brown Killed After Fatal Car Accident on Kent in Lubbock, TX
According to Lubbock, TX news reports, the identity of the passenger who was killed early Sunday morning in a fatal car accident on Kent Street has been confirmed. 21-year old Spencer Brown, a Texas Tech student, was the passenger in another student’s pickup truck and was killed when he lost control and crashed into a light pole.

Lubbock PD said that the pickup truck was headed west on Kent Street near N. Avenue Q at about 1:40 a.m. when the driver hit a steep incline at the railroad tracks, going airborne in the process. The truck then landed off the road and crashed into a light pole, leaving the driver and Brown with fatal injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene, but both men died in the accident. The name of the driver wasn’t released immediately, but reports said that he was a 22-year old student at Texas Tech as well. The cause of the wreck may have been influenced by high speeds.<!-Andrew//–>
