Talen Harris, Darrell Wayne Avery, Kelsey Harris, and Cara Crisler die in a tragic accident in Bastrop, TX
On April 29, 2008 a tragic accident claimed the lives of four people in Bastrop, TX. According to authorities, the driver of a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee veered into oncoming traffic resulting in a head-on collision with a Ford Excursion carrying a family of five. Four-year-old Talen Harris died at the scene. Eight-year-old Kelsey Harris died en route to the hospital. Cara Crisler, the children's mother, died shortly after arriving at Brackenridge Hospital. Six-year-old Marissa Harris and 31-year-old Kevin Harris, the children's father, were injured in the accident but are expected to make a full recovery. The family is from Cedar Park. The driver of the Jeep also died at the scene. A note from E. Michael Grossman: This is one of the most horrible accidents I have ever heard of. I have seen first hand how devastating such an accident can be for the family members of the victims. I wish them all the best and I will keep them in my thoughts.
