Elmer Franks Killed in Head-On Waco, TX Car Accident on Old Lorena Road

According to Waco, TX news reports, authorities have identified 89-year old Elmer Franks as the second man who was killed on Wednesday’s fatal head-on accident along Lorena Road. Police said that Franks was involved in a two-car accident on January 30, 2013 with 68-year old Jim Gray and both died from their injuries.

DPS troopers that investigated the accident said that Franks’ and Gray’s vehicles (a minivan and a Dodge pickup truck) collided along Lorena Road at Church Road on Wednesday afternoon at about 4:00 p.m. The cause of the wreck wasn’t determined but both men were flown to area hospitals where they died of their injuries. The accident reconstruction unit is apparently actively investigating the accident, said the Waco PD.
